Little Letters (vol.10)

Dear Heat - Its been quite the scorcher this week, so Lucas and I have been cooling down as much as possible with water playing outside, visits to the mall, and playtime at the splash pad, although its been great I could do with a little less heat!

Dear Shirt and Tie - Just bought Lucas his first tie this week for a wedding we have in a few weeks, and I cannot wait to see him in it!

Dear Laundry - you were successfully washed and dried, now if only a fairy could help me fold and put you away...sorry I'm too busy having fun with my little man.

Dear Bachelorette - you used to be my reality guilty pleasure, but its such a snooze fest this season, someone bring back the good old days of trashy tv!

Random Fact - Even though I have been loving this summer, Fall has to be my favourite season of all time, and I'm already dreaming of pumpkin spiced lattes, and taking Lucas to the pumpkin patch!  Bring on the cool times!

Little Letters (vol.9)

Dear Lucas - Mommy is loving watching you perfect your walking everyday, but dreading all the bruises and scratches you seem to attain daily...then I look down at my own bruised leg cause I'm a klutz and think thank god you're at least a little like me lol.

Dear Dan Brown - Just finished your latest literary genius...well done sir you finally had me guessing right till the end.

Dear Tassimo Iced Coffee - you are soooo good right now on hot summer days, and helping me not spend a needless exorbitant amount of  money at starbucks.

Dear Starbucks - I am loving the new refreshers you have this year, which kind of still makes me spend too much money at your facility hehe.

Dear Hair - you are in a serious need of a cut, I promise to get to that...promise..maybe..we will see.

Random Fact - I used to only be able to sleep if I was fully covered, tightly under a sheet and blanket!  Now ever since having a baby its like my body didn't get the memo and I'm still an oven on full hilt!

Dear Me - stop being so hard on yourself, and remember that you are doing a great job

Dear Mommy Blogger - I am in love with this post from Kristal at Mama at Home, its speaks directly to the kind of parenting philosophy I have adapted for our family, and it was great to know I am not alone.

Dear Bills - I hate you, that sums up how I'm feeling about that.

Dear Morning Walks - I am loving mine and Lucas' morning walks and coffee outside, the weather has been quite hot and muggy, but the early mornings are just the perfect temperature.

Dear Hubby - Can't wait to celebrate your birthday this weekend, and kicking it off tonight with just the two of us at the movies holding hands like we are dating.

Random Fact - I love coffee, sometimes drinking more than one a day, but I have this silly habit of nursing the same coffee for a long time, and then it gets cold, and so I rarely ever finish a mug of coffee :)

Little Letters (vol.7)

Dear strawberries - you juicy and beautiful things will be savored and devoured this weekend, along with finding your way into some lovely baked goods.

Dear Summer - thank you for finally arriving this week, the family and I have been basking in your amazing warmth and lovely blue skies, I heard you may be cursing us with some rain this weekend but I will forgive you.

Dear Phone - just realized today that I am taking on average about 100 pictures a week if not more, thank you for having an awesome camera so that I always capture the great and unexpected moments in my life.

Dear Lucas - I still can't quite grasp how you are 9 months old today! You continue to make everyday better and more fulfilling! (full 9 month post coming soon).

Random fact - I love to be indoors, reading and just relaxing, I was quite outdoorsy growing up living in Portugal but grew out of that as a teenager. Now that I'm a mom I'm really loving the outdoors again!

Little Letters (vol. 7)

Dear Dad - I remember visiting you in your office and sitting on your knees while you made phone calls, and you gave me paper to draw on; then you would play the penny game with me for what seemed like hours, even though I knew you would get bored with it long before I did.

Dear Dad - I remember the day we spent the whole day shopping for Mommy's birthday, just the two of us, and you asked for my opinion on what to buy, and then you took me to the bakery to grab a cake and got a treat for me on the way home.

Dear Dad - I remember all the times you would take the girls and I on weekend excursions, singing in the car, making everything feel like an adventure.

Dear Dad - I remember every song you have sung to me, and now I sing them to my little guy cause they are still so special to me.

Dear Dad - I remember every argument and disagreement we have had, all the lectures you gave me, all the words of wisdom you have imparted, all the times when you just talked to make sure I knew what I was doing, and it may not have seemed so back then, but every lesson has stayed with me.

Dear Dad - I remember you walking me down the aisle, holding my hand so tight I didn't think you would let go, and crying when you left my house the night I moved out.

Dear Dad - I remember you holding your grandson for the first time, and I finally understood all the pain and love you have been going through since I was born.

 

Dear Dad, there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of everything you gave me growing up and just because I don't say it often, or maybe at times you think I have forgotten, your love is an important part of my life.  I have your good memory, so I could never forget all our times and moments, and feel blessed that we keep making memories.  Love you.

Little Letters (vol.6)

Dear Hubby - I love that you love the little notes Lucas and I have been leaving on your lunches, we just want you to know how much we appreciate everything you do for us.

Dear Unread Books - I am slowly getting through the mountain of new books I just read.  I've been really on top of the housework, so its nice to kick back with a coffee and read while the little guy naps...thank you Lucas for 2 hour naps!

Dear New BBQ - I cannot wait for the Hubby to fire you up this weekend, and enjoy some sun (hopefully), good food, a beer, and good company.

Dear Crafts - I have been in the crafty mood lately, and my craft box and house appreciate it lol

Random Fact - Not many people know this but I actually met the hubby through facebook, it was a random poke (do you remember when facebook had those), on my part, and I'm not sorry I did it, cause well for obvious reasons!

Dear Patio - I can't wait for you to get done this weekend, and then me and the little man are going to spend the whole darn summer living it up out there.

Dear Gordan Ramsey - thank you for mixing two of my guilty pleasures, reality tv and cooking shows, and making my summer viewing worthwhile.

Dear Oven - I am so in the need for a baking fix, so get ready for some sweet goodness coming your way this weekend.

Dear Lucas - I appreciate your desire to walk, I'm a proud mommy watching you toddle along the furniture, but slow it down, I'm not ready for this.

Random fact about me - I love a clean house, but having a child has curbed my OCD a little; I still like to clean up and give the house a good curb down whenever the child gives me the chance!

Dear Zulily - Thank you for the amazing deal on the doodle pants, they are super cute and can't wait to put them on Lucas.  Have you seen these, they are to die for check them out here, cute pic of the little guy sporting them coming probably this weekend.

Dear Dan Brown - its taken you long enough to write another novel, but so far its been worth the wait.

Dear (massive amount of) laundry - you were conquered...that's all lol

Dear House - I know you're floors need to be washed, and the you need some freshening up this week, I will get to it this weekend...I promise...maybe.

Dear Lucas' teeth - Thank God you finally made an appearance, I was starting to despair that the little guy's first birthday was going to roll around without any chicklets to see.  You are all adorable, and sharp!

Random fact about me: I'm always washing dishes as I make dinner, if Gianni is helping to make dinner, this drives him slightly crazy, maybe cause I may wash a spoon he was still using hehe

Little Letters (vol.3)

Dear hair and scalp - I know you have been put through the ringer this week, but the little guy has taken a liking to pulling you, and well he's so darn cute, so I guess we will forgive him.

Dear pumpkin pie - yes I know we are so far away from it being fall (even if weather disagrees), but do you really need a reason to indulge in pumpkin pie...really?!

Dear Jane Austen - thank you for writing one of my favourite novels (Pride and Prejudice), and inspiring tons of other authors to write spin offs of Fitwilliam Darcy (don't worry Hubby you are my own personal Darcy!)

Dear Lucas - please slow down...please...you are growing up too fast, and there is no rush for you to walk...really no rush at all.

Dear Pottery Barn - Thank you for finally sending me the chair I ordered for my niece's birthday, almost 2 months ago. I love your stuff but I won't be ordering anything online again!

Random Fact about me: I'm always reading 3 books at a time, each book is in a different part of the house...nerd much :)

Little Letters (vol. 2)

Dear Sunshine and Rain - stop teasing me with wonderful days of outside playing, and walks to the park. if you and the rain are disputing over who should be ruling spring get over it rain no wants you back!

Dear stranger at Fortinos - Thank you for being the only person to help me set up a high chair so my little one could have lunch, while I struggled to carry my massive 7 month old, his diaper bag, his lunch bag, all why the little guy was wailing cause I was taking too long.

Dear Hubby - thanks for always trying to make it home at a reasonable hour, so that this mama can get a little me time, even if that just means an uninterrupted shower!

Dear Reitmans - its been too long since we've seen each other, and it was nice getting reacquainted this week with some new duds for mother's day.

Dear Lucas - thanks for always smiling even when I know you're gums are hurting you, it always just makes my day!
